Autumn is my FAVE season!
I dropped the bright nail polish colors as soon as Labour Day hit.. but what do I do now? Go Back to Black?? How BORING! Everyone has Black nails or Black with a hint of some other colour. There are new colours that I am super excited to share with you. Even better yet.. I found the cheaper version of the colors! Pay attention.. you're going to love this:
During Fashion week, Chanel debuted a fabulous Jade Green nailpolish on ALL of the models. The models paired this with Black and Grey Fall palates.
For those of you who are not willing to be so adventurous, there's a gorgeous color by Dashing Diva which is greyish purple.
Guess what Divas?? You don't have to spend $25 on that Chanel nailpolish... and you don't have to go out of your way to a local Dashing Diva either because I found the same exact colors at Sephora!
Chanel Jade Green = Ocean Love Potion Sephora by O.P.I. (well it's a bit brigher but it's the same idea)
Dashing Diva Purple Grey = Metro Chic Sephora by O.P.I.
I've rocking my Metro Chic nail polish for the first time today and I've already gotten so many compliments! Well ladies.. toss the black aside and have a little fun!
CIAO!

Sasha and Malia Dolls!

The First Lady is not happy about this.
"The Ty, Inc. Company, famous for creating the Beanie Baby craze that captured the hearts of many, is trying a new niche of dolls. Pictured here are the two new dolls that they have created:
Welcome Marvelous Malia and Sweet Sasha, the two newest additions to the Ty, Inc. line.
Are they supposed to be dolls of the White House children? Tania Lundren, spokesperson for Ty, Inc. says no. Really. No, they just liked the names Sasha and Malia because they are pretty. Never mind that the dolls are clearly biracial, Ty, Inc. is so far sticking to their story that these two dolls are not replicas of the President’s two girls. It was just a coincidence.
Right, because the names Malia and Sasha are the two most popular names today? Hardly, both names do not rank in the top 200 girls names.
I think Ty, Inc. better stop and think twice before they try and say this was all just one happy coincidence. Like we believe it. Come on people, the dog didn’t eat your homework and these dolls couldn’t be more like the President’s children unless they were named Sasha and Malia Obama dolls."

Hail to the Chief! Obama-rama Rules the Fashion Set -Refinery29 Pipeline-

"There's no doubt Obama-style infiltrated the masses, and political T-shirts are normally widespread during an election. But when Jane Aldridge pointed us to a Bruce Weber shot in Italian Vogue, we realized that the Barack-street-style look has actually gone high fashion. Daniela de Jesus and Ubah Hassan modeled Obama T-shirts with Rosie the Riveter-style cuffed sleeves, while paired with designer skirts and head pieces. On our own local streets, Eddie from Style Sightings captured Elle's Kate Lanphear in an Obama Mama styled with flannel, denim, and platform boots. We also spied artist, musician, and jewelry designer Rebecca Schiffman rocking an oversized Obama and Biden shirt as a dress, paired with black tights. And in the rest of the world, we're seeing Lookbook kids from the Netherlands to Michigan using Obama shirts as central inspiration for outfits as well. It reminds us of that amazing face T-shirt trend we reported on in November, but now with loads of hope and optimism thrown on top!"

Fidel Castro breaks silence to praise Obama

"After several months of silence, ailing former Cuban leader Fidel Castro on Wednesday finally resurfaced. Castro, 82, posted to his column on Cuban-run website cubadebate.cu. According to Reuters UK, at one point in 2008, he was averaging 8 columns a month; the most recent message from Castro comes after more than a month of absence, leading to speculation over his ill health.
In the column, Castro talks about his meeting with Argentinean president Christine Fernandez earlier that day in Havana. “When talking about the United States,” he writes, “I stressed the historical importance for Cuba that in 50 years there had been 10 presidents and despite the tremendous power that country has, none has been able to destroy the Cuban Revolution.” Castro goes on to note that he doesn’t doubt the honesty with which Obama, “the 11th president since January 1, 1959”—the date of the revolutionary takeover of Havana—expresses his ideas and that he truly has “noble intentions.” A big question remains for Castro, however: “How can an extremely consumerist and wasteful system preserve the environment?”
This comment about Obama comes about 8 months after an endorsement of sorts during the President’s campaign, calling him “the most progressive candidate to the U.S. presidency” in a column in various Cuban newspapers."

Props to Beyonce!
Can we please take a moment to recognize the phenomenal achievement of our star Beyonce? Everytime I watch the video of the First Couple's dance to "At Last," it moves me to tears. What an opportunity! She definitely showed her appreciation for it.

How to Get and Maintain Pearly Whites

I was just brushing my teeth and I remembered that a lot of people ask me how I keep my teeth so white. Well, I have professionally whitened them in the past. I do recommend the Laser whitening for instant results. Also, the professional whitening trays are pretty awesome but they're just time consuming. I haven't whitened them in a long time and what I do now is... (and I swear this works), I make sure to rinse day and night with Crest Whitening Rinse. I've tried a couple of over the counter products and this one has been GREAT for me. I pair this with Tom's Maine organic whitening toothpaste. Also, make sure you avoid certain foods that may stain your teeth as much as you can. These foods include, coffee, (I know.. I know.. it's hard but just dilute it with more milk!), red wine, red sauces, etc. One more thing... put the cancer stick DOWN!
Let me know if it works for you!
Until next time... CHEESE!! (btw.. you can totally eat that!)

Mascara Tip for the Girlies
Soo... I'm usually a Dior Show kind of girl but let's face it.. it's too dramatic and clumpy for the daytime. I have found a new revolution in Mascara! haha.. It's the new L'oreal Double Extend Beauty Tubes Mascara. Some of my friends, (including myself), have tried eyelash extensions but it's way too expensive to upkeep. Anywho, for those of us who would rather use our money towards clothes, shoes, and bags, we need to be up on the mascara game.
Beauty Tubes is supposedly this new technology where the mascara latches on to your lashes and builds tubes that lengthen.. um I know it sounds weird but the best part of this all is that when you want to take it off it literally SLIDES off. That's right.. no smudging. Check my eyes out! I don't really have that many lashes to begin with. Not bad!
P.S. = L'oreal Reps.. if you see this... PAY ME! haha..

Confessions of a Teen Idol
You guys... I'm hooked. I am falling in love with the struggle that these guys are going through. Honestly, I am learning a lot about myself because although I am clearly not a former teen idol, I identify with them in the sense that I want to do what I love. These guys are so inspiring to me. Ooo I just want to hug each and every one of them!

Fashion Goals for Spring 2009

Sooo... most of this stuff I can't afford right now... and I don't know if I can anytime soon but I will do my best to match my desires. :) For those of you who like me, cannot afford Christian Louboutins.. I will post any replicas/same designs that I find. Typically, i'm not a fan of replicas.. if I can't have the real thing then I won't have it.. however ultimately, everything is a copy of something so let's find the best thing!

My First Entry
Hello WORLD!
I never thought that I'd actually get into this. I'd like to give a shoutout to my friend Ashley for inspiring me! (isthather.blogspot.com). I'm not that great at describing myself but hopefully with time you will get some of the Eunicita experience. I'm not good at the technicalities of this all yet so please bear with me!
XOXO,
Eunicita
